Emma just adores her little brother Ryder. She is the BIG sister who takes care of all of his needs. Anytime he's in need, she is there to bring it to him. She has tried to change his diapers many times, but gets grossed out if it is more than "pee!" As time goes by, she has become more independent and taken on more of a "mommy" role to him. I love my little helper! Ryder admires his big sister and smiles at her everytime she appears. It's what my grandma always says, "He lights up like a Christmas tree!" Since he is getting older, he is now able to sit in Emma's room with her while she reads him books. He just loves it...and so do I! It is pure ejoyment to see how fast she is growing up and how much they love eachother!

Ryder is a little stinker. He definitely takes after the Fleming side of the family, but has the "rock n roll"part of daddy in him! He is amazed when daddy plays the guitar or his sister sings to him.
We are so lucky to have such a good lil man as a part of our family. He is the greatest and easiest baby! As of now, he is 6mos. old and getting ready to "be on the move!" I am not ready for that just yet, but what can I say? I just have too, I guess! He was just at the doctors and weighed in at 17.7lbs; he is in the 75% tile for his height....thank you, thank you for hopefully giving him the chance at being tall! This will give him a "heads up" when his sissy comes over to interrupt him!
A Weekend in San Diego
This year our family took a trip down to San Diego with friends of ours. We stayed in their condo right on the beach. Ryder was just born and Emma got to go fishing for her very first time. It was a lot of fun and the kids were free to roam around and play in the sand all they wanted. There was nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the waves right outside our sliding door. It is a place we will definitely return too!
Cherry Pickin
This summer Emma took a trip with her friend Dylan to the Cherry Farm in Yucaipa. She had a great time all day picking cherries and eating them as she put them in her basket. Towards the end of their picking, Emma had eaten so many cherries that she couldn't wait to use the potty! Oops! After the kids were done picking their cherries, they went to see the animals on the farm. What an experience it was. They got to see baby goats be born and pet all of the farm animals. It was a fun and exciting day for both of them!
